Job Summary
Provide physical and psychosocial care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, toileting, eating, and ambulation. Conduct room checks and resident rounds while monitoring for environmental safety hazards and reporting changes in physical or cognitive status. Utilize safe transfer techniques, operate medical equipment, and wash residents' laundry as needed. Escort residents for transportation and dining, coordinate internal transit, and maintain professional demeanor during interactions. Document services on company forms, respond to emergencies promptly, and report suspected abuse immediately to licensed staff.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English
- Certification by state approved program, if required
- Satisfactory completion of the company Resident Assistant skills competency checklist
- Be in good physical health and free of communicable diseases
- Lifting, bending, and pushing medication cart about residence
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds
- Completion of drug testing and criminal background check upon hire and upon request of supervisor
- 1st Shift 6:00am - 2:00pm
- 2nd Shift 2:00pm - 10:00pm
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Assisted Living preferred, but not required
