Job Summary
Med Tech/Caregiver delivers medication administration and supportive daily care for residents in assisted living/memory care. Under supervision, duties include administering prescribed medications per physician orders, maintaining MARs, conducting vital signs and basic tests, wound care, and coordinating with nursing staff; provides activities of daily living support (bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding), hydration/nutrition facilitation, and maintains a safe, clean environment. Initial 3-day onboarding with a 3-week skills ramp-up; evening shift 2:00pm–10:00pm (every other weekend/holiday). The role emphasizes HIPAA-compliant documentation and patient-centered care, with opportunities for growth within Trinity Health Senior Communities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Medication Aide or Med Tech credential (state-specific certification)
- Previous experience in assisted living, memory care, or geriatric care (1+ year preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration protocols
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to lift/transfers residents safely; physical stamina for standing and walking
- Excellent communication skills; compassionate, respectful demeanor
