Job Summary
Med Tech assists in developing, coordinating, and performing the tasks on the service plan according to the resident’s preferences and abilities; maintains and documents medication records; reads and implements care/activities of daily living per the service plan; responds to resident needs and alarms; demonstrates empathy and builds caring rapport; delivers care in accordance with the service plan; maintains accurate records; completes incident reports; follows safety and infection-control practices; promotes a clean, safe environment and assists housekeeping and maintenance; recognizes and reports safety concerns in residents’ environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold state required medication pass certification
- complete state required delegation and/or training requirements
- successfully complete the medication pass competency
- Must have word processing skills
- Must have current CPR certification
- First Aid training
- Food Handlers permit
- Fingerprint Clearance Card as required by state regulations
- Must complete all state required trainings as necessary
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience
