Job Summary
The Medication Aide provides medications and treatments as prescribed, ensures availability and proper documentation to support safe, high-quality care. They monitor residents’ responses to treatment, manage medication records, assist with activities of daily living, and support independence where possible. Responsibilities include maintaining medication rooms and carts, documenting changes per policy and state regulations, supporting meal delivery and resident comfort, observing and reporting changes to the Wellness Director, and performing other duties as requested. The role requires proficiency in English, strong interpersonal skills, flexibility for rotating shifts, and prior experience in assisted living or senior care.
Required Qualifications
- Proficient in written and verbal English
- Demonstration of ability to establish long-term relationships
- Interest in working with the older adult population
- Must exhibit and promote a high level of customer service, hospitality, curiosity and friendliness towards residents, visitors, employees and the overall community
- Must have ability to work rotating shifts as needed
- Two (2) to five (5) years of prior assisted living or senior care experience
