Job Summary
Med Tech in assisted living: assist with medication management, provide clerical/EMR support, respond to emergencies, assist with ADLs and meal service, monitor resident transfers, encourage participation in activities, and help train new staff. Requires Food Handlers' certification, First Aid certification, pre-employment physical/TB clearance, fingerprint clearance, and compliance with DSS regulations; proficient in Matrix EMR and medication ordering/administration procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Food Handlers' certification
- First Aid certification
- Able to pass pre-employment physical/TB test
- Obtain fingerprint clearance as required by licensure
- Assist Director and LVN Supervisor of AL in medication management
- Provides clerical and computer support, including reordering medications and supplies in compliance with DSS regulations
- Demonstrates proficiency in the Matrix Electronic Medical Records system and supports staff training related to medication ordering and administration
- Responds to emergency calls, assists with ADLs, and follows medication administration procedures
- Assists with meal service, monitors food intake, and ensures proper resident transfers
- Encourages resident participation in activities, reports changes in resident conditions, and assists with the admission/re-admission process
- Maintains confidentiality, follows safety protocols, and helps train new staff in the med assistant role
