Med Tech - AL

The Med Tech provides quality care and assistance with activities of daily living for residents and assists with administration of prescribed medications within the established scope of practice. Responsibilities include assisting with medication administration, maintaining policies, reporting incidents, performing housekeeping duties, responding to calls, supporting activity planning, documenting status in the Daily Log and EMAR/MAR, communicating with the HCD/RN/LPN, assisting new residents with move-in, and upholding confidentiality. Must hold HS diploma or GED, complete Medication Aide Course, possess CNA and Med Tech licenses, pass medication observations and cart audits, complete required medication-education hours, demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills, be able to lift and assist residents, wear designated uniform, and be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid certification within 60 days. The role emphasizes teamwork within the nursing staff, flexibility in scheduling, and a professional, compassionate approach to resident care.
