Job Summary
Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the med/surg unit using the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Conduct thorough patient assessments, administer prescribed medications, monitor vital signs via telemetry equipment, and respond to medical emergencies including CPR and code team activities. Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans, provide patient and family education, and implement infection control protocols. Maintain accurate documentation in medical records and participate in audits, chart reviews, and performance improvement initiatives to ensure adherence to standards and enhance patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- Authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation
