Job Summary
Med Surg RN PRN Nights provides patient-centered care across the nursing process, coordinating and delivering high-quality care per protocols and orders. Responsibilities include thorough patient assessments, documentation, medication administration, and collaboration with physicians and the health-care team. Assists during procedures, responds to emergencies (CPR/code team), and educates patients and families on conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care. Maintains infection control, monitors medical equipment, contributes to audits and performance improvement, and upholds safety standards in an acute care setting. Licensure as an RN and Basic Life Support are required; ACLS/PALS/NRP are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support required
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation preferred
