Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for adult medical patients with diagnoses including small bowel obstructions, respiratory infections, cellulitis, diverticulitis, and pneumonia. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients and coordinate care with other departments while evaluating the effectiveness of direct care givers. Perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards, ensuring patient rights and confidentiality are upheld. Requires current Missouri RN license, BLS certification, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs with prolonged standing. Full-time 36-hour week with days shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Nursing Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Completion of BLS certification within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
