Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned adults with diagnoses including cellulitis, pneumonia, urinary tract infections, chest pain, gastrointestinal issues, COPD exacerbations, and medically stable COVID patients. Maintain professional accountability for care provision and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Perform duties consistent with Mercy mission, values, and service standards. Requires current Missouri RN license, BLS certification, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs with prolonged standing. Part-time day shift (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) with up to $10,000 sign-on bonus for experienced nurses.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Nursing Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Previous hospital experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
