Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned adults with diagnoses including cellulitis, pneumonia, urinary tract infections, and COPD exacerbations. Maintain professional accountability for care provision and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinate patient care with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality of information. Perform duties consistent with Mercy mission, values, and service standards. Requires current Missouri RN license, BLS certification, and ability to lift 50 lbs and stand/walk throughout shifts. Part-time schedule of 24 hours per week from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Nursing Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Previous hospital experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
