Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned adults with common diagnoses including cellulitis, pneumonia, urinary tract infections, and COPD exacerbations. Maintain professional accountability for care provision, evaluate the effectiveness of other direct care givers, and coordinate patient care with other departments. Uphold patient rights and confidentiality while performing duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards. Requires current Missouri RN licensure, BLS certification, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs with prolonged standing. Part-time day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- Nursing Diploma
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Completion of BLS certification within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
