Med Surg Float Pool Nurse

Assess patient care plans, evaluate needs, and carry out physician orders while administering medications, changing dressings, cleaning wounds, and monitoring vital signs. Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions using computerized documentation systems. Instruct and educate patients and families as part of a multidisciplinary care planning team. When acting as charge nurse, make staff assignments based on patient acuity and skill, serve as a clinical resource, and respond timely to physician or staff requests. Float between six medical and surgical floors to ensure quality patient care delivery.
