Med Surg Clinical Nurse PRN

Provide direct patient care on the Three South Medical/Surgical Unit with responsibilities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established nursing standards. Educate patients and families on illness/injury management, post-discharge care, and medication administration. Participate in patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance activities; contribute to professional development; develop and document individual care plans in collaboration with the interprofessional team, patient, family, or caregiver; assess patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care; ensure effective communication of the care plan across the continuum. Maintain a safety-sensitive role requiring alertness and safe practice. This role supports the BJC RN Career Ladder and includes BSN differential and shift differential.
