Med Surg Cardiac Registered Nurse - Part Time

Provides direct patient care in the Med Surg Cardiac unit (Med Surg 5th Floor) with duties including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care for adult medical/surgical/telemetry patients, including care around cardiac catheterizations, PTCA and vascular interventions. Educates patients and families on illness management and post-treatment home care, collaborates with interprofessional team to develop and document individual plans of care, and communicates the plan across the continuum of care. Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, while contributing to patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. This is a safety-sensitive RN role focused on caring for patients pre/post procedures and in telemetry/acute care settings; opportunities for professional development through the BJC RN Career Ladder and ongoing nursing education are highlighted in the posting.
