Maintain departmental policies, infection control standards, and safety protocols while performing basic nursing procedures such as weighing patients, taking vital signs, and listening to fetal heart tones. Retrieve initial patient evaluations, report findings to practitioners, and assist with examinations, OB/GYN procedures, and direct patient care processes. Perform venipunctures, blood sugar checks, and lab procedures as indicated; ensure adequate supply and equipment stock; and verify accuracy of medical records and lab requests. Inspect areas daily for compliance, clean instruments, restock examination rooms, and transport items to sterile processing. Obtain informed consent after procedures and demonstrate competence in age-specific care delivery.
