Job Summary
Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and meal preparation according to individual service plans. Administer medications after training, update resident records, and report changes in physical, emotional, or behavioral condition to supervisors. Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing deep cleaning, laundry, meal cleanup, and garbage collection. Prepare and cook food per posted menus, assist residents with dining, and set up daily scheduled activities. Collect garbage from rooms and common areas each shift, removing incontinent supplies immediately. Attend all staff trainings and meetings, and perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director or team lead.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months related experience and/or training with working with seniors
- Basic computer skills/knowledge
- Valid CPR, First Aid and Food Handlers cards
- Must successfully pass all governmental and corporate required background investigations, such as, but not limited to, state required criminal history clearance investigations
- Pre-Service Universal Caregiver training
- Willingness to adapt to the changing demands of this position
- Must be able to lift and/or move residents weighing more than 100 pounds with appropriate assistance or equipment
- Must be available for weekend shifts
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Assisted Living and Residential Care philosophy along with Resident's Rights
- Understand Senior Housing Managers Code of Conduct and Employee Handbook
