Job Summary
Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and meal preparation according to individual service plans. Administer medications after training, update resident records, and report changes in physical or emotional condition to supervisors. Maintain a clean environment by performing deep cleaning, laundry, dishwashing, and garbage collection while preparing and serving meals. Set up daily scheduled activities, engage with residents, and document participation. Collect garbage from rooms and common areas, remove incontinent supplies, and address safety issues promptly.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months related experience and/or training with working with seniors
- Basic computer skills/knowledge
- Valid CPR, First Aid and Food Handlers cards (can be acquired during the hiring process)
- Pre-Service Universal Caregiver training
- Must successfully pass all governmental and corporate required background investigations, such as, but not limited to, state required criminal history clearance investigations
- Must be able to lift and/or move residents weighing more than 100 pounds with appropriate assistance or equipment
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Assisted Living and Residential Care philosophy along with Resident's Rights
- Understand Senior Housing Managers Code of Conduct and Employee Handbook
