Job Summary
Mechatronics Technician responsible for building and testing prototypes, sub-assemblies, and feasibility units; interpreting schematics and layouts to perform testing, checkout, troubleshooting, and rework of PCBA/cables; fabricating custom test equipment and harnesses; operating standard test equipment (oscilloscopes, analyzers, DMMs) and ensuring IPC-compliant rework; adapting plans quickly in a fast-paced environment; collaboration with Electrical, Mechanical, and Firmware Engineers to accelerate prototyping and lay the foundation for scalable production.
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience as an engineering technician in a prototype or development lab
- Strong ability to read/interpret PCBA schematics, cable drawings, and test procedures independently
- Hands-on skills: soldering, crimping, rework, cable assembly to IPC standards
- Solid grasp of fundamental electrical engineering concepts
