Job Summary
Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to support the Operations Maintenance Team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems across the building. Responsibilities include completing preventative maintenance with proper documentation, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems on MHE (belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, etc.), creating and closing work orders with labor hours and parts used, tracking department inventory, and mentoring junior technicians. Strong emphasis on safety, documentation, and cross-functional communication within the facility, with experience in automated packaging and distribution equipment. Preferred qualifications include an associate or higher in mechanical/electrical fields, experience with MHE safety standards, and robotics operation/maintenance. Physical demands include overhead reaching, lifting up to 50 lbs, PPE usage, and mobility across departments and warehouses. Location is client site in Carlstadt, NJ; hybrid/remote work not indicated. The role is competitive with compensation $29.25-$34.41 per hour, benefits, and equal-opportunity employment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment (MHE) or automated conveyor systems and controls
- 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
- 1+ years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading
- 1+ years of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles
- Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project, with the ability to create and manage documents effectively
- Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts
