Job Summary
Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to support the Operations Maintenance Team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems, install and maintain automated packaging and distribution equipment, and mentor junior technicians. Responsibilities include executing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems on MHE (belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, etc.), creating and closing work orders with labor hours and parts data, tracking inventory, and maintaining positive relationships across the facility. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years in MHE or automated conveyor repair, plus experience with predictive and preventative maintenance, electrical schematic reading, CMMS, and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; preferred to have an associates or higher in mechanical/electrical field and experience with robotics maintenance. Physical tasks include lifting up to 50 lbs, PPE usage, and movement between departments. This role is on-site at the client site in Shirley, NY.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment (MHE) or automated conveyor systems and controls
- 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
- 1+ years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading
- 1+ years of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles
- Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project, with the ability to create and manage documents effectively
- Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts
