Job Summary
Mechatronics Engineer needed to design, integrate, and maintain automated robotic systems for proprietary oligonucleotide synthesis and biotech manufacturing. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining electromechanical and robotic systems, assembling and testing equipment, creating mechanical/electrical designs in SolidWorks, producing electrical schematics and BOMs, integrating sensors, motors, pneumatics, PLCs, and embedded controllers, assisting in prototype development and process automation, performing maintenance and troubleshooting in lab/manufacturing settings, collaborating with manufacturing, process engineering, software, and R&D teams, and preparing technical documentation and reports while supporting continuous improvement and scale-up of automated synthesis systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or related field
- 1–5 years of industry experience in automation, robotics, mechatronics, or related engineering fields
- Experience with SolidWorks for both mechanical and electrical design
- Knowledge of automation systems, robotics, and motion control systems
- Understanding of sensors, actuators, pneumatics, motor controls, and embedded systems
- Hands-on experience with equipment assembly, integration, and troubleshooting
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
