Job Summary
Direct the work of embedded software, mechanical, and electronics engineers to design, build, test, deploy, and maintain mechatronic systems for autonomous commercial landscaping. Plan, coordinate daily department activities, and establish functional requirements while ensuring project milestones and budget adherence. Mentor team members on technical integration standards, evaluate designs for manufacturability and performance, and oversee subsystem integration across mechanical, electrical, and software domains. Requires a Bachelor's degree in mechatronics or related engineering, five years of individual contributor experience, and three years managing engineering teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field
- 5 years of individual contributor experience as a Mechatronics Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Robotics Engineer, or other related engineering fields
- 3+ years of experience managing teams of engineers in mechatronics development
- Comprehensive knowledge of mechatronics principles, including mechanical design, electrical systems, control systems, and embedded software
- Proficiency in CAD tools for mechanical design (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation software
- Experience with embedded systems programming and software development, including proficiency in C, C++, or similar languages
- Experience with Agile or other project management methodologies
- Strong project management skills, particularly with complex cross-disciplinary projects
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred experience working in Robotics, Automation, or a similar field with regards to the Landscaping industry
