Job Summary
Mechatronics Junior Technician Apprentice role trains you to install, alter, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electronic, mechanical, computer, control, and robotics/automation equipment in a complex Fulfilment/Distribution Center through a classroom, laboratory, and on-the-job learning program. You'll work closely with experienced advisors, shadowing on the shop floor, and develop skills in PLCs, robotics, and high-performance manufacturing systems while ensuring safety and teamwork. Training will occur at multiple sites with a 12-week program, and candidates must be 18+ with a high school diploma or GED and meet a mechanical aptitude standard. Position is on-site in Woodbury, MN with potential travel for training to sites in Indiana, PA; GA; NC; or TX.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years old or older with a high school diploma or GED
- Must meet the minimum qualifying score on a Mechanical Aptitude Test
- Ability to travel to attend training at one of 3 training sites in Indiana, Pennsylvania, Georgia, North Carolina or Texas for 12 weeks
- Basic computer skills, i.e. email, word processing, reading spreadsheets, internet browser basics
- Basic troubleshooting skills
