Job Summary
Interpret internal and client requirements while supervising allocated staff and managing the day-to-day operations of the relevant discipline. Operate complex mechanical testing equipment, apply instrumentation, and set up data capture systems. Maintain accurate systematic records, perform report writing, and conduct data interpretation and analysis. Execute general duties in accordance with internal procedures, quality standards, and Health and Safety systems. This hands-on role supports Element's global network of over 9,000 minds ensuring product safety and compliance from early R&D through production.
Required Qualifications
- Educated to a good general standard including English and Maths
- Degree level or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant materials related discipline
- Hands-on job
- Sound mechanical bias
- Self motivated Technician with the ability to multi task, organise and work under the pressure of a busy commercial mechanical test laboratory
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A team player attitude
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in an appropriate Engineering environment
- Experience of working within a Mechanical testing environment
- An understanding of a recognised Quality Management Systems such as ISO 17025
