Job Summary
Design and execute tests, inspections, and certifications to verify functional and reliability requirements for finished products and mechanical components. Develop test plans, define mission profiles, and design testing equipment for measurements and experimental strain gauge analysis. Conduct FEM, static, and dynamic analyses while performing failure analysis to identify and address solutions to detected problems. Continuously update regulatory references and prepare test reports for functional and product groups. Requires a Mechanical Engineering degree, 5-10 years of experience, and knowledge of DOE and FMEA techniques. Salary ranges from €35,000 to €50,000 gross annually.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 5-10 years of previous experience in mechanical testing and design
- Knowledge of industrial technical drawing and tolerances
- Analytical and numerical structural calculation and machine component sizing
- Knowledge of electromechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic automation
- Understanding of product functionalities and proper/improper use
- Knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) techniques
- Methods and tools for experimental stress/strain analysis
- Knowledge of fatigue and tribology phenomena
- Scientific approach to experimentation
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills
- Experience in failure analysis
