Job Summary
Fabricate components and whole parts for specialized water treatment equipment using drill presses, belt sanders, band saws, bench grinders, and ironworkers. Pipe-fit materials including PVC, CPVC, fiberglass, and stainless steel while adhering to strict EHS standards and quality specifications. Assemble water treatment equipment from engineering drawings as a member of an assembly team. Perform confined space entry in small tanks with 14x18" manways and maintain records and reports. Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and power tools while practicing proper safety procedures and housekeeping.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Ability to operate power tools such as drills, grinders, and saws
- Some unassisted lifting up to 50 lbs
- Ability to perform work with appropriate PPE for work (safety toed shoes, safety glasses, bump cap/hard hat, etc.)
- Majority of day will be spent standing with some bending and fine motor work appropriate for work in a fabrication shop
- Some sitting and computer work is required
- Ability to assemble PVC and fabricated metal piping spools per applicable quality and EHS standards
- Ability to work from engineering drawings and understand engineering and quality specifications
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Basic mathematics skills
