Job Summary
Mechanical Technician at U.S. Tsubaki responsible for layout, fabrication, and assemblies; installs steel structures, piping systems, pipe supports, fixtures, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment; installs equipment for heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, production, and processing systems. Level 1-4 duties include identifying proper personal protection, welding (GTAW, GMAW, SMAW, FCAW), oxyfuel and plasma cutting, pipe fitting, pipe sizing, installing gaskets and O-rings, performing square and bevel cuts, operating forklifts/scissor lifts/pallet jacks, and complying with safety and project rules; tasks expand to material take-offs, crane operation, and coordinating crew efforts as levels increase. Requires ability to read drawings/plans, visualize in 3D, and apply mathematical concepts; preferred safety training and OHSA certifications; emphasis on quality, reliability, and customer-focused manufacturing.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma preferred
- Level 1-4 Technician training or experience acceptable
- Basic safety training (LOTO/OSHA 10/OSHA 30) preferred
