Job Summary
Prototype assembly of mechanical devices and electronics including electrical assembly, thermal/mechanical calibration, testing with specialized equipment, and collaboration with design engineers. Responsibilities include following SOPs, writing SOPs for a team of technicians, integrating feedback to improve production efficiency, and post-mortem activities to capture lessons learned. Requires familiarity with Linux/Windows/Mac OS, Python or C++ scripting, ADB, NX, SolidWorks, 3D printing, PCB/Schematics, and soldering; hands-on experience assembling consumer electronic devices and using calibration/test tools. Position involves on-site work in Sunnyvale, CA, for a 6+ month contract; candidate may assist the broader Concept organization and operate independently while proposing process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or 3 years assembly experience involving smaller electronic devices (laptops, phones, VR equipment, etc)
- Troubleshooting experience for smaller electronics devices
- Familiarity with electronic testing using software tools (testing scripts using Python or C++)
- Experience with NX, SolidWorks, and 3D printing
