Job Summary
Mechanical Technician / Manufacturing Technician needed to support mechanical assembly, inspection, testing, and maintenance of robotic systems and production hardware. Responsibilities include assembling robotic subsystems, following diagrams and instructions, using hand and power tools, performing basic mechanical inspection with calipers and gauges, routing cables, managing fasteners, supporting fixture and tooling installation, aiding with light electrical tasks (wire routing, connector installation, soldering), identifying build issues, providing feedback to engineering and manufacturing leads, maintaining build records and documentation, maintaining a clean 5S work area, collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and operations, and performing related duties to support manufacturing and prototype builds. Requires hands-on mechanical aptitude, ability to work from detailed instructions, and strong teamwork in a fast-paced medical device startup. Base salary ranges from $70,000 to $80,000 annually, with stock options, year-end bonus, and comprehensive health benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and basic shop equipment.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, drawings, diagrams, and checklists.
- Good attention to detail and willingness to ask questions when instructions are unclear.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
