Mechanical Technician - Maintenance (Doha, Qatar)

Job Summary
Conduct mechanical installation, repair, and maintenance of machinery, equipment, and fixtures to ensure efficient operation with minimum downtime while complying with EHS Guidelines. Tackle equipment breakdowns and execute planned, preventive, and predictive maintenance with minimal supervision, assessing job requirements and selecting necessary tools. Order spare parts via SAP, maintain work records, and monitor repeated breakdowns to recommend or complete modifications. Perform welding and fabrication, mentor new mechanics, and participate in continuous improvement activities such as the Suggestion Scheme and 5S. Fulfill daily shift duties with a team, perform running inspections and checklists, and assist other departments in troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in relevant field
- Completion of PEC Craft Training
- 3 Years' of relevant experience in a heavy industry after Diploma
- No experience required after completion of PEC Training
- Good working knowledge of written and spoken English
- Must be familiar with all maintenance tools
- Good computer skills
- Exposure to installation & troubleshooting
- Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings/manuals/instructions
