Job Summary
Follow engineering laboratory test instructions for performance and life commercial test stands. Set up and install compressors and support compressor electronics for test purposes. Operate laboratory test equipment including performance/life test stands, data acquisition systems, and measuring equipment used to acquire compressor performance characteristics. Fabricate supporting test fixtures and controls required for non-standard tests or builds. Review test data for compliance with applicable test data standards. Perform various tasks related to the upkeep of the lab and communicate test results with engineers. Provide input on optimizing work processes to improve the overall efficiency of the lab. Work in conjunction with product engineers to design, develop, and qualify compressors for HVACR systems within our Sidney, OH engineering laboratories.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree or two to three (2-3) years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must have basic HVAC, mechanical, and electrical skills
- Must have troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Must have personal computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office programs
- Legal Authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role
- 1st shift availability
- Five-eight-hour workdays from 7:00am to 3:30pm
- Eligibility for voluntary overtime
