Job Summary
Perform skilled repairs on Volvo Penta Diesel Engines, Power Solutions International generators, and Marathon generator ends, including troubleshooting, diagnosing control system problems, and executing preventive maintenance. Facilitate technical support with equipment manufacturers while conducting periodic inspections to identify maintenance needs in high heat, humidity, or cold environments. Safely operate and maintain motor vehicles to transport equipment and personnel, adhering to all traffic laws and company standards. Report to the Reliability Program Manager with an average of 75% travel to support distributed energy customers.
Required Qualifications
- at least 3 Years Mechanical and/or Electrical
- Must be able to be on your feet for multiple hours a day
- Must be able to climb a ladder and lift 50 lbs safely
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends and/or holidays
- Operating company vehicles safely and efficiently to transport materials, equipment, or personnel to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
- Successfully pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check to ensure compliance with company standards and safe driving practices
Desired Qualifications
- College or Equivalent Training (i.e. Military)
- Volvo Penta Diesel Engine experience
- Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
