Job Summary
Perform routine preventative maintenance on presses, body makers, and decorators; diagnose mechanical breakdowns and execute repairs involving part replacement and component adjustment. Conduct equipment inspections to ensure safety compliance, read technical manuals and schematics, and maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities. Collaborate with production teams to optimize machine performance and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, while training junior technicians as required. Adhere strictly to company safety policies and procedures throughout the shift.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles, hydraulics, pneumatics, and precision machinery
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by production schedules
