Job Summary
Mechanical Technician at IDIADA: prepare vehicles for safety testing and support multiple test areas. Install and verify test equipment (brake abort systems, racks, camera stands), operate diagnostic and hand/power tools, assist test teams in setup and execution, maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace, document logs, and inventory. Identify and implement tool/process improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and timing. Role located in Adelanto, CA; requires a High School Diploma and at least 2 years in a shop/mechanical environment; MS Office proficiency; willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; valid CA driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a shop or mechanical environment
- High School Diploma; two-year technical degree or prior trade experience preferred
- Ability to use Outlook, Excel, and Word, and other MS Office applications
- Must be physically able to support test preparation and execution in an outdoor environment
- Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work extended hours and weekends
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Possess a valid California driver’s license
