Job Summary
Mechanical Technician responsible for maintaining and repairing polyethylene blown film extrusion lines with conveying and winding equipment and multi-lane bag machines with auto pack equipment. Technician will be familiar with a variety of mechanical and electrical concepts, practices and procedures. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. Read electrical, machine, building, and flow control prints; design/build complex parts and electrical panels; diagnose and repair major equipment issues; perform preventative maintenance; communicate with production personnel; identify cost-saving improvements and potential capital investments; ensure GMP and SQF compliance; willing to accommodate non-standard hours; flexible with schedule and overtime as required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of mechanical and/or electrical experience.
- Florida State Journeyman Electrical License preferred.
- Welding Certifications
- Advanced Fabricating Skills.
- Ability to work shift work, weekends, and 12 hours shifts.
