Job Summary
Project Engineer responsibilities include supporting a team of mechanical engineers and designers to deliver HVAC and central utility system designs for life-sciences facilities, performing analyses such as HVAC load calculations and pressure/flow modeling, coordinating with internal disciplines and clients, preparing design deliverables (airflow diagrams, pressurization strategies, zoning/classification plans), reviewing vendor submittals and RFIs, participating in construction-phase activities, and collaborating on controls/automation integration, with opportunities to mentor junior staff and pursue licensure. The role offers a hybrid in-office/work-from-home schedule in Blue Bell, PA, with a focus on regulated, high-performance environments and a pathway toward professional licensure.
Required Qualifications
- BS (required) or MS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- 5–10+ years of relevant experience in HVAC/mechanical system design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Experience with HVAC load calculation and energy modeling software
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply engineering fundamentals to complex systems
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams
