Job Summary
Lead mechanical design for complex products, translating system requirements into high-precision mechanical designs. Drive design with focus on functionality, industrialization, and cost-effectiveness; ensure analyses (structural integrity, thermal management, manufacturability) using methods such as tolerance analysis, FEA, and DFMEA for robustness and safety. Oversee prototypes and reliability testing across development stages to meet application requirements and standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary and cross-site teams, contribute to engineering best practices, and mentor junior engineers.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in development and industrialization of complex products
- Proficiency in CAD software (CREO or equivalent)
- Proficiency with analytical calculations and simulations (FEA) to validate designs
- Knowledge of materials and related manufacturing processes
- Experience with product and material certification
- Experience in medical or defense domains
- Background in mechanical kinematics/dynamics and/or precision mechanics is valued
- Experience with injection molding, sheet metal, and high-precision machining
