Job Summary
Mechanical Superintendent for Data Center Construction overseeing field activities and supervision of HVAC/mechanical work in a critical facilities environment. Leads subcontractors and on-site trades, coordinates with Site Project Manager and MEP teams, drives adherence to budget and schedule, manages procurement and installation of HVAC equipment (chillers, AHUs, CRAC/CRAH, cooling towers), and ensures QA/QC, safety, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include planning and organizing data center projects, monitoring subcontractor performance, overseeing procurement and change orders, updating drawings and logs, coordinating inspections, and representing the company in project meetings. Requires experience with data center construction budgets (> $50M), strong client-relations skills, and proficiency with MS Project, AutoCAD, and Revit. Willing to travel to project sites; Domestic US-based role based in Chesterton, IN.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (a plus)
- 5+ years field supervision experience
- Experience managing Data Center Construction Projects
- Experience with HVAC systems for data centers (Chillers, AHUs, CRAC, CRAH, cooling towers)
- Proven ability to manage budgets and subcontractors
- Client-facing / Client relationship management skills
- Willingness to travel to project site / onsite Mon-Fri
- Experience with project documentation and coordination (MS Project, AutoCAD, Revit)
- PM/Project Management exposure (PMP or related accreditation a PLUS)
