Job Summary
Mechanical Superintendent for Civil Construction responsible for directing field operations, overseeing site staff and field engineering, and delivering projects in the Water/Wastewater, Food & Beverage, and Clean Energy sectors. The role requires leadership and clear communication between field and project teams, developing and executing work plans to keep projects on track and on budget, providing senior presence in the field, coaching staff, reviewing labor needs, and succession planning. Candidate should have 3–5 years of superintendent-level experience with a GC or multi-trade contractor, specializes in mechanical aspects of projects, and be capable of traveling or staying near the site. Post-secondary CET or Red Seal certification (or equivalent) is required, with proficiency in MS Office and Project, and the ability to manage complex projects over $20 million.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of construction experience as a superintendent with a General Contractor or a multi-trade contractor
- Experience with Water/Wastewater, Food & Beverage, or Clean Energy projects
- Post-secondary education, CET or equivalent, or a Red Seal Trade certification in a related field
- Proficiency with MS Office and Windows based computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and Project)
- Ability to manage site operations on complex projects in excess of $20 million
- Strong mechanical acumen
