Job Summary
Plan startup sequences and schedules to meet budget and timeline requirements for the Cherokee LNG Plant commissioning. Perform project startup and commissioning activities under the direction of the Site Startup Manager while developing and managing startup budgets. Accurately document results, including punch lists, and prepare Startup Turnover Packages. Identify installation issues and collaborate with contractors to resolve problems according to approved plans. Ensure quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements are met while abiding by all safety rules. This role supports the implementation of owner startup procedures for a critical energy infrastructure project.
Required Qualifications
- 5-9 years of related experience in engineering design, LNG Plant startup, or maintenance
- 4-year degree in engineering or a related field
- Adequate knowledge and hands-on experience with startup procedures and commissioning activities
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental standards
- Familiarity with fossil power plants, major equipment/systems design, and operation
- Knowledge of applicable codes and regulations for pressurized piping and vessels
- Understanding of LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, operations manuals, and P6 schedules
- Ability to build effective working relationships with plant staff, engineering/design teams, and vendors
- Time management and multitasking capabilities
- Ability to plan and organize startup activities within a team-oriented environment
- Capacity to identify opportunities for organizational improvements and process enhancement
