MECHANICAL SPECIALIST I

Mecha nical Specialist I at Kent Worldwide (Pet Plant) in Muscatine, IA. Responsible for maintaining plant-wide process equipment and safe maintenance practices, repairing or replacing motors, gearboxes, bearings, and other mechanical components, performing repairs on conveyance systems, completing routine maintenance, documenting activities in CMMS, and supporting safety and continuous improvement. Requires understanding of mechanical systems, ability to read technical drawings, proficiency with CMMS/office software, and strong communication to coordinate with Maintenance and Production leadership. Willingness to travel 5-10% between two plants and work rotating 12-hour shifts (6 a.m.–6 p.m. then 6 p.m.–6 a.m. after two weeks). Education: high school diploma or equivalent; technical school accreditation preferred; 0–2 years experience preferred. On-site location in Muscatine, IA.
