Job Summary
Mechanical Specialist HVAC CL2 role performing skilled HVAC and related electrical maintenance, inspection, installation, troubleshooting, and repair. Responsibilities include monitoring and addressing work orders, maintaining equipment, reading complex blueprints and wiring diagrams, installing and servicing HVAC and steam distribution systems, operating diagnostic tools and measurement instruments, requisitioning parts, and maintaining electronic/pneumatic testing equipment. Must demonstrate reliability, safety compliance, and strong communication with diverse internal and external stakeholders, while applying planning, forecasting, and problem-solving skills to support energy optimization and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Five years’ relevant HVAC experience, in addition to a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Maine Divers license.
- Hands on mechanical, planning, forecasting, communication, and judgement skills.
- Knowledge of compliance and regulation standards.
- Independent judgment along with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse teams.
- Proven organization, time utilization and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work efficiently, independently and accurately in a time-constrained environment.
