Job Summary
Mechanical Site Engineer responsible for on-site mechanical contracting activities under the Construction Manager/Lead Engineer. Key duties include development of piping and equipment construction work packs, signing off piping test packs and pre-tests, recording field welds for weld histories, onsite coordination between mechanical and other disciplines, engineering in a defined construction area, resolving field engineering queries, weekly progress and variation reporting, monitoring scope for potential variation work, ensuring equipment is installed correctly within their area, and providing technical back-up using Navisworks 3D model. Must ensure all material, fabricated pipe spools and supports are on-site to follow the project schedule and collaborate with the QA lead to hand over piping systems to the client on schedule. Essential knowledge of piping isometrics and P&IDs.
Required Qualifications
- Min 3-5 years’ experience in construction engineering or trade supervisor role
- Excellent knowledge of piping isometrics and P&IDs is essential
