Job Summary
Diagnose and repair breakdown faults on production lines, including emergency responses across plant and machinery. Install machine parts such as valves, pumps, and motors while conducting planned maintenance checks. Work under pressure to meet deadlines in a busy 24/7 shift environment. This role is part of BSW Group's maintenance team, supporting the UK's largest timber and forestry business in sawmilling and pallet manufacturing.
Required Qualifications
- solid background in mechanical engineering
- mechanical engineering, preferably gained within a manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Good understanding of computer-based systems and software
- A high level of organisational skills and attention to detail
- Problem solving skills
- The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines in a busy environment
