Job Summary
Mechanical Service Technician III handles job start-up, checkout, and troubleshooting for HVAC and building automation systems and services installed jobs; performs mechanical inspections of boilers, chillers, pumps, and related equipment, completes final adjustments and calibrations per owner manuals, documents findings and expenses, reviews costs/scope, conducts wiring checkout and assists in automation start-ups, provides written service reports, handles service agreements and emergency calls, and delivers technical assistance and training to others. Requires strong knowledge of HVAC/mechanical/electrical concepts, ability to read safety and maintenance documents, and proficiency with blueprints; must have ten years of experience in HVAC and mechanical systems, an associate degree or equivalent, EPA universal refrigeration handling certificate, valid driver license, and the appropriate journeyman or master license. Travel in Kansas and the Midwest with occasional overnight stays; strong communication and customer-service skills are essential; opportunity for ongoing education and professional development.”,
