Job Summary
Assess, substantiate, and ensure the safety and compliance of critical infrastructure systems within highly regulated environments. Support the Design Authority by conducting engineering assessments, performing Periodic Safety Reviews (PSRs), and evaluating asset integrity regarding pumps, cranes, HVAC, and pressure systems. Apply British and international standards to support engineering decision-making and maintain the safe operation of facilities. Requires broad mechanical engineering experience in industrial, defence, or nuclear sectors and SC Clearance. Hybrid schedule with UK residency requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Broad mechanical engineering experience within industrial, infrastructure, defence, energy, nuclear or other highly regulated environments
- Experience undertaking Periodic Safety Reviews (PSRs) or similar engineering assurance activities
- Strong understanding of design intent, asset integrity, ageing mechanisms and engineering substantiation
- Knowledge of British and international engineering standards
- Ability to assess compliance, support engineering decision-making and ensure the continued safe and reliable operation of critical infrastructure
- SC Clearance
- UK residency and nationality
