Job Summary
Mechanical Repair Technician responsible for the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Lenze gears and motors. Disassemble gearboxes and motors for inspection and repair, diagnose mechanical issues, replace damaged components, reassemble to specifications, perform functional testing, and document detailed repair reports. Collaborate with service and engineering teams, operate manual and hydraulic presses and various diagnostic equipment, use precision measuring tools (micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges, calipers) for accurate alignment, and adhere to safety protocols in a hands-on, detail-oriented environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical repair or maintenance, preferably with gearboxes and motors
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
- Ability to prioritize and meet the needs/wants of the customer without being prompted
- Must be a self-starter and work well with minimal supervision
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Organizational skills and ability to handle multiple service needs simultaneously
- Ability to work with voltages up to 600vac / 1000 vdc
- Highly proficient computer skills including familiarity with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- SAP experience preferred
