Job Summary
Repair and rebuild electronic and electro-mechanical components by working with Customer Service Testers on repair work orders. Read engineering drawings, bills of materials, and manufacturing instructions to guide assembly. Perform quality checks on workmanship and accuracy, while investigating mechanical assembly issues and solving practical problems. Generate and process ECOs, deviations, and rejected material reports to the Material Review. Collaborate with engineering teams on rework or upgrades and provide feedback on Design for Manufacturing items. Organize daily targets and update tracking spreadsheets to meet customer due dates. Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to all company policies and ISO logs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Three to six years of related experience OR a combination of relevant education, training, and experience
- IPC J-STD 001 Modules 1-3 or equivalent
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to navigate and use internet/intranet and other programs such as the MS Office package including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access, or Company-wide cross functional Enterprise Resource Planning software
- Must also be able to perform limited troubleshooting
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
