Job Summary
QA/QC Project Manager, Mechanical for Data Center Construction. Responsibilities include effectively managing and collaborating with project stakeholders; ensuring efficient internal communication and delivery; tracking critical milestones to avoid schedule slips; verifying governance, processes and systems are applied; applying best practices; producing formal project status and other reports; monitoring multiple construction projects to ensure design standards are applied correctly; managing interfaces between suppliers via monthly trackers and weekly reviews; coordinating project information through meetings and written communications; forecasting/updating milestones; overseeing local design teams per commission criteria; providing technical support to owners, architects, GCs, and regional stakeholders; rapid RFIs response; cost control, value engineering, and constructability guidance; independent review of status reports, submittals, timelines and costs; client relationship development; strategic thinking for project/objectives; knowledge management and process improvement; SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role. Bachelor’s degree in construction management, mechanical engineering, or equivalent; 5-7 years of relevant PM experience in mechanical systems; strong organizational skills; background in design/construction with mechanical or BMS controls experience or vendor equipment factory quality control; experience with commissioning mechanical systems in data centers; proficiency with construction documentation and PM tools (e.g., Procore, Smartsheets, Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). On-site presence requirements may change based on client needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, mechanical engineering, or applicable bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience
